David Joplin Named Security Specialist


FORT SMITH, AR (June 26, 2007) - EagleOne, a transportation and logistics solutions provider headquartered in Fort Smith, Ark., has named David Joplin as security specialist, according to Tim Blount, vice president of Human Resources and Compliance.

"David's expertise will ensure that our security procedures continue to meet the highest standards so that we can remain an industry leader in the same day, expedited courier market.

 

Joplin will be responsible for establishing, monitoring and coordinating security programs, policies and practices for EagleOne. He will manage loss-prevention procedures, investigations, security system and surveillance upgrades, and direct internal and external security assessments. Joplin also will provide company-wide security awareness training and education and serve as a liaison with local law enforcement, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

 

Prior to joining EagleOne, Joplin spent 15 years with the Fort Smith Police Department. For the past seven years, he served as a crimes against persons investigator through the criminal investigation division and specialized in voice stress analysis. He also has served as an investigator specializing in crimes against property and domestic violence. Joplin has logged more than 950 hours of police training and certification in drug enforcement, fraud detection, truth verification testing and incident command. He is a member of the National Institute for Truth Verifications, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the Fraternal Order of Police, and the Regional Organized Crime Information Center.
