Asa Hutchinson to Address Logistics Conference

"The Fight Against Illegal Drugs, Diversion and You"

SAN ANTONIO (Sept. 5, 2007) - EagleOne, a fast-growing transportation and logistics solutions provider, will present keynote speaker Asa Hutchinson at the 2007 National Transportation and Logistics Association (NTLA) Conference in San Antonio, Texas. Hutchinson is a former Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Administrator and Under Secretary of the Border and Transportation Security Directorate, the largest division of the Department of Homeland Security. He now leads the Hutchinson Group LLC (HG), a consulting firm that specializes in security and public policy advocacy services.

Hutchinson's presentation at 9 a.m. on October 17 will address the critical role the courier industry plays in diversion control. "Without a security-minded courier industry, the DEA objective of preventing diversions of controlled substances can't be achieved," Hutchinson acknowledged. Hutchinson also plans on discussing the prospect of industry regulation. "Part of my presentation will address the question of whether more regulations by the DEA on the courier industry are a possibility in the future," he noted.

Recently, EagleOne hired HG to audit the company's loss prevention procedures and oversee facility security and best practices. "As board members, we feel that it is our duty to the industry to bring the most talented thought leaders we can to this roundtable," said Greg Hasley, president of EagleOne.

The 2006 NTLA Conference attracted more than 250 attendees, comprising more than $1 billion worth of transportation business. This year's meeting will take place October 16-18 at the Westin La Cantera Resort in San Antonio, Texas. "This year, the NTLA will be looking at the start of a pharmaceutical certification program and we expect attendance to increase to more than 300 attendees," said Hasley.
